Darren Springer, our Project Manager and Founder of the Mushroom Academy, brings over 20 years of experience in education and community initiatives. He has collaborated with organisations such as We Are Grow, LUSH, Organiclea, and Somerset House to design workshops and projects aimed at empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds. His work addresses social challenges, promotes community development, and fosters self-improvement through culturally-aware, innovative, and creative approaches.As a horticultural and food enterprise tutor specialising in mushroom cultivation, Darren has pioneered the UK's first AQA-accredited Mushroom Cultivation course. This program provides school children and at-risk youth with practical training in sustainable mushroom growing. Participants can achieve entry-level, Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications in Mycology through this groundbreaking initiative.
